So many tests, so many results. The MRI was by far the worst.
I continue to be blown away as I re-read our journey. How many tests were done on our sweet little girl?
Have you had a child who needed surgery? It’s brutal to be the parent in the waiting room.
Good news for Easter…
You may notice a request from me at the end of the day, for encouragement through songs. I posted it on Facebook on April 23, and was overwhelmed by the amazing response I received.
Well, I took a break for Easter – Holy Week is crazy busy for us, as it is for all churchworkers. Then we had a busy week after Easter, preparing for an event at church and getting ready for vacation. Then we had a week of vacation, then a week back at work catching up. So I’m finally back after four weeks away!
I should have taken time to write ahead, but this is hard, emotional work. I will definitely find more mental space next week. For now, this is a glimpse of another piece of our lives during that time:

The amazing NICU doctors got our daughter stabilized, but machines were part of the deal. Tubes, wires, leads, etc. came off of our daughter every which-way. We couldn’t hold her. And they needed to run so. many. tests.
