We had a guest preacher on Sunday, and one of the take-aways from the sermon for me was the connection between giving and joy. I think it’s because gratitude inspires generosity, and there is always joy in giving thanks. The chain from one to another is pretty straightforward.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking a lot about being a better steward. Part of it is that we just finished four weeks of stewardship stuff at church. Part of it has been ongoing in my time spent thinking about eating more healthily. I’m going to keep sharing the joy verses from scripture, but I might not always give my thoughts about those verses. I’m mulling over in my mind a new direction for this blog, based on growing in stewardship of everything that God gives us and on focusing on the joys of my life. More to come soon!
